Dear Friends.

I visited University Town 3 weeks ago and found no development but saw similar stuff that i saw 6 years ago.In 2004 they issued me Allotment letter, on full payments and they (Mr. Arif etc etc) promised verbally that they will not charge any more money.But now University Town sent me a letter of demand for 80000 Rupees.How can they ask me legally any more money when they told that since I paid in full so they allotted me letter??.There is no law,no ethics,no humanity,no truth??

they are just taking money and not doing nothing. once a person does not pay dues dev charges they wil allocate hime to a different sector like e/ f low down and then give urs to new buyer make it look good value. urs worth nxt to nothing and then agen if u dnt pay they sell take fees and tell u buy left next to nothing over so many years and they make interest

Hellow Friends,

After all whatever I have seen I was not happy with the people conversation about the University Town. I was planning to buy few plot there but I am not happy with their job they are doing at this time. They are keep on selling their plot and no development at all. I would like to request to their Management if there is this kind of situation nobody will buy and we don’t know when the development will start so please consider this all question of people and do let us know soon. So we can invest thank you for all of you. If anyone have any other information please do share with me. I appreciated those people who help others thank you.

I have a plot in sector "F" of university town, Islamabd. About four years back, when I purchased it, management told me that it will all be ready in four years. To-day, after four years, zero development has taken place. I took photographs and went to show it to the management, who kept harping, "Block A is almost ready". I do not think , an another ten years, block F will be developed. They have made all members to sign such stupid rules, that there is no way I can decently get my money back.

I think the only choice is , that we approach courts. Anybody willing, please join hand with me on irshad001@gmail.com

yes you are 100% right yesterday i visit the university town site i see there is a very few devolpment in sector A &rest all other sector is no devolpment all. i have request to the managment & owner of university town to reply all these question otherwise i will strat compain against your socity & make fast the devolpment works there becase the instalment of university town is almost complete . & the people are willing to start to build there homes there

& please rply if you didnot reply then you are 100% laier

yesterday i visit to university town i see the devolpment work is going very slow near to dead slow & the thing is that that the installment is complete in decmber end means al most finish

& still there no ploting

i am requsting to that pepole that please take mony from unversity town because it will take more 10 years to devlop the socity

& i have planing to go to court against the university towns owner because all the installment is complete & stiil now one can build house there

Thank you for the detailed reply:

from your email i got to know that this is oppsite to G-15 along the left side of MW.
yes, it will bring prosperity after 3-4 years.
there are also some other CDA approved schemes (Int. ministry, F-15/16...if i am not wrong) parallel to G-15, and where development work is also in progress, so i personally think that these schemes will be comparatively good in future.

I suggest, if some one have two plots in DHA valley, he should invest in one at this side, as the two are either extremes of rawalpendi/islamabad.

University Town Islamabad is an RDA approved scheme located in H-18 sector and outside the current defined CDA zones (1-5). It is situated at 8 Kms on left side of Motorway while heading for Lahore close to the toll plaza. An operational Beacon House school structure is next to it. Simplest way to reach University Town currently is a service road runing along the Motorway. The other way is to turn left at the Tarnol junction from GT rd (Kohat Rd) and then make a left a few miles down and follow the road by going under the motor way bridge and its to the left. The scheme is close to the new planned Islamabad Airport which is expected to be operational in 2013.

The scheme was launched initially in 2005 in the name of Allama Iqbal Open University scheme and then again in 2008 thru Star Marketing group as University Town Islamabad. From the original pre launch funds, some development was completed and additional land was purchased, and then again launched in 2008 thru Star Marketing thru a mega campaign overseas and domestically. The scheme is owned by Khyber Housing Society and the owners name is Abdul Aziz Khan, who was an AIOU employee then (maybe still an employee of AIOU).
The scheme offered 5 marla, 10 marla, 1 kanal and some commercial plots and were offered in monthly installments. There is quite a bit development in A & B sector mainly and the rest still needs to be developed.

Future prospects of the scheme seem to be good considering the planned Islamabad Airport in future that would bring some activity to the area. The prices of plots at launch were approx 5 lakh for 5 marla, 9 lakh for 10 marla and 17 lakhs for 1 kanal payable in monthly installments. Since there is not a lot of buying selling currently in the scheme, its hard to come up with the current worth of plots. Their office is located in G-10 markaz isd.

In comparison to DHA Valley, I would say that DHA is a big name and would hold more weight in comparison and more attractive in terms of investment and resale. The plus side of university town is the new Islamabad Airport and both are 2-3 years down the road in terms of complete development when actual picture would emerge with less speculation, and based more upon ground reality.
